Star Grip designed and perfected the seamless manufacturing process that allows a weight control of ± 0.5 grams and a Perfect Center construction. To the golfer, this means matched swing weights and exact club alignment for lower scores. We started production for Royal Grip in 1990 and US Grips/Griptec in 1996. Factory direct sales of Star Grip began in 2001. The headquarters and manufacturing is located in Chandler Arizona, a suburb of Phoenix.

A Grips durability, abrasion resistance and tacky surface is determined by the rubber formula utilized. Over the years Star Grip has developed a material that we call Durolast 501.
